We are happy to announce the start of the construction of our 3rd school in Senegal in January 2022…and therefore: the 3rd edition of LBMS One-Week Volunteer trip from 21.05.2022 to 29.05.2022 The school is located in Marssassoum, Casamance which is in the southern part of Senegal. It is an existing high school, lacking from properly built facilities. It is currently made of woven bamboo walls and zinc roof. Due to its fragile structure, it collapses often, causing the classes to stop. In 2020, Archstorming organised an architectural competition for us. Carlos, Santiago and Maurizio from SOMStudio in Colombia won the 1st prize with a design made of earth bricks. We are all joining forces to build this beautifully designed project for 135 students. We will be recruiting 10 volunteers from all around the world. If you’d like to join us, please download and fill in the form on our website: https://www.letsbuildmyschool.org/volunteer-1 Please send it back to us via email on [email protected] .
