TECHO Mexico completed last week the construction of their first new prototype house, that will be implemented all across the country. The characteristics of this new model are: - Easy ground transfer - Mass prefabrication - Installation in 2 days by unskilled labor - Easy addition of spaces, adaptable to the growth of the family - Reconfiguration to real estate TECHO Mexico and Archstorming organized a competition called Emergency Housing Mexico where we looked for designs for their new house. The winners were Luis Roberto Barillas, Marielos Beatriz Rosales, Milton José Martínez and Sara Beatriz Vásquez from El Salvador. Last August 16th 2020 the kids of the NGO Los Amigos de la Esquina, along with the members of the assossiation and Jonathan Kubben from Mom I'm Fine celebrated in a Mayan ritual the start of the construction of the new school made out of recycled plastic in Tulum, Mexico. Thank you to all who have made this possible! The school in Benga, Malawi, has started its construction this summer. The winners of our competition "African School Project" were Ben McMillan and DeQuales Thompson from Texas (USA) and have been actively participating in all the phases of the design process. |
