The Timba at Tabo project is a communal laundry space where the community can wash their clothes without having the problem of where they would get their water. It is a series of rainwater collection tanks that serves as a watershed for their daily needs. It would enhance water production and improve the livelihood of the community. This proposal is one of solutions to counter the groundwater saline intrusion, contamination of water resources due to poor sanitation and lack of water supply facilities in the site.
As of 2020, the coronavirus pandemic made it necessary to provide clean water, sanitary facilities, and hygienic conditions for the preservation of human health. This urban intervention not only raises awareness but also provides possible solutions for the climate and health related problems we are going to face.
